Vanessa
yin, release & restore
Hi I'm Vanessa, At Torus I teach Yin, release & restore, I look forward to seeing you Sunday 5pm.
I teach a style of yoga that is slow, creative and invitational. In other words, unique for each person. And that gives you time to really feel into the shape, to feel into the movement and how that affects or changes you as you practice.
I have taught yoga yoga for over 10 years and draw on the traditions of Hatha vinyasa, Somatics, Yin , Eastern philosophy and western psychology, and through a trauma informed lense. I love that students who are drawn to these practices, really notice and can distinctly feel how it benefits, unwinds and nurtures them. I love the creativity of the practices and the way I can bring something new and experiential to the students in front of me.
Something about me: Outside of the yoga room I am a crazy cat lady. Totally obsessed! And I love travelling and exploring. One of the highlights of my travels has been to walk over 750km along the Camino Di Santiago in 2009. An incredible adventure. Yoga was so helpful after the long days of walking, with gentle stretching and breathing. I hope to see you at one of my classes soon!
